Godson Ominibie Epelle Born on the 24th of July, 1994, Stage name 1da Banton is a Nigerian fast-rising singer and songwriter.
He grew up in Port Harcourt, Rivers State, Nigeria and relocated to Lagos State in 2014.
He came to prominence for his first EP, 1da Banton. He gained more exposure with the release of his hit single “No Wahala”.
Godson moved to Lagos State after he was signed into Nigerian video director, Adasa Cookey’s record label – Squareball Entertainment.
Career
1da Banton relocated to Lagos in 2014 to pursue his music career.
He came through professionally in 2017 with his debut EP, The Banton as released under Squareball Entertainment, owned by the Nigerian video director, Adasa Cookey.
He came to limelight for his hit single “No Wahala” which went viral on the video sharing platform, Tik Tok.
