Controversial Nollywood actor Uche Maduagwu has stormed the streets in his red bra to protest against the ASUU strike.
In 2022, ASUU declared a one-month strike, beginning February 14, 2022. Some of the lecturer’s demands include the revitalization of public universities, earned allowance, improved funding of state universities, and promotion arrears. However, the strike has exceeded eight months.
The controversial actor Uche Maduagwu has taken to the streets with his red bra to protest against the ASUU strike and also calls on the Federal Government to end the strike University students can go back to the lecture halls.
Uche Maduagwu has joined some concerned students to protest against the strike as he is seen in his red bra old a placard calling on the Federal Government to call off the strike for students.
Meanwhile, President Muhammadu Buhari on Tuesday in Abuja met behind closed doors with the leadership of the House of Representatives over the ongoing strike by the Academic Staff Union of Universities (ASUU).
Femi Gbajabiamila, the Speaker of the House of Representatives, described the meeting with the president as fruitful.
He disclosed that the president had pledged to look into the House’s recommendations aimed at resolving the ongoing strike embarked upon by the university lecturers over eight months ago.
